To ensure the safe removal of unwanted contaminants from the equipment surfaces, Alfa Laval recommends specially developed non-toxic cleaning agents with low environmental impact. These have been thoroughly tested in our own laboratory to safeguard that gasket and heating surface materials are not affected.

Our range includes highly effective acid- and caustic-based products for the removal of most types of fouling, including both soft and hard deposits. For ease of handling, powders are also available.

Alpacon cleaners

A cleaning range with high performance and particularly low impact on the environment.

• Alpacon Multi CIP II - Alpacon Multi CIP II is designed for Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) of Alfa Laval lube oil and fuel oil separators. Keeping the separator disc stack clean means maintaining the separation efficiency and thereby secure clean oil to the engine. CIP also reduce workload of personnel.
• Alpacon Degreaser II – The Alfa Laval Alpacon Degreaser II is a concentrated liquid cleaning agent designed for the manual removal of oil, grease, wax or other contaminants from the exterior surfaces of machinery, floors, tank tops or other components. It may also be used to clean the interior surfaces of heat exchangers and piping systems in processes where oil, grease or wax is present.
• Alpacon Descalant II - The Alfa Laval Alpacon Descalant II is a concentrated liquid cleaning agent designed for the removal of scale, magnetite, algae, humus, shellfish including mussels, lime, rust and other deposits in water systems such as pipes, heat exchangers, centrifugal pumps, and operating water systems for separators.

AlfaPhos

An acidic cleaning liquid with a phosphoric acid base specifically designed for the removal of metallic oxides, rust, calcium carbonate and other inorganic scale.

AlfaNeutra

A strong alkaline cleaning liquid specifically designed for the neutralization of used AlfaPhos prior to disposal.

AlfaCaus

A strong alkaline cleaning liquid with a caustic soda base specifically designed for the removal of biological matter, fat, oil and other organic deposits from heat exchangers and related equipment.

Alfa P-Scale

An acidic cleaning powder with a sulphamic acid base and a corrosion inhibitor that is particularly effective for removing calcium carbonate and other inorganic scale.

Alfa P-Neutra

An alkaline powder that is specifically designed for the neutralization of used Alfa P-Scale prior to disposal.

AlfaAdd

A neutral cleaning strengthener made from an advanced formula of different surface-active agents. Designed for use with AlfaPhos, AlfaCaus and Alfa P-Scale.
